Has the sight of red and pink hearts all over town got you down? If you don’t have a date this Valentine’s Day, there’s no reason to fret. Avoid all the mushy gushy couples and come to the Ballroom for Single’s Appreciation Night!

No date, no problem. On Saturday, February 14th Ballroom will have DJs spinning, your favorite drinks, and plenty of singles to dance with. Ladies receive free entry before 11:00 p.m. Of course we’re not discriminating against couples—the more the merrier! Come dance the night away with your valentine for a fun nightcap after dinner. What better way to set the mood than good music and delicious drinks? Spice up your date night at the Ballroom!

In honor of all you singles out there, here are some Valentine’s Day pick up lines to try on Saturday night. Who knows, by the end of the evening you may no longer be dateless with the help of these cheesy one-liners… or maybe it’s better if Cupid shoots his love arrow before trying these out…

  • Hey, Cupid called, he says to tell you that he needs my heart back.
  • Do you believe in love at first sight, or should I tell Cupid to shoot you with that arrow one more time?
  • Sorry I didn’t get you chocolates for Valentine’s Day, but if you want something sweet, here I am.
  • Know what’s on the menu? Me ‘n’ u.
  • You’re so sweet you’re giving me a toothache.
  • Can I have a smooch on the cheek? I’ll be so happy if a beautiful girl/guy kissed me on Valentine’s Day.

Don’t sulk on the couch this Valentine’s Day, come out to Ballroom and enjoy being single!

Boo! Scared? Halloween is just around the corner and we’re preparing for a good one, especially since the holiday falls on a Friday this year. Get ready for a night of frights and fun at the Fremont bar district’s biggest Halloween bash! This mega bar hop will bring traditional trick-or-treating to a whole new level.

Fremont’s Freaky Halloween is sure to be the most wicked bar hop you’ve had in the neighborhood’s nightlife district. Festivities will begin around 8:00-9:00 p.m. and continue through the night (Ballroom is open ‘til 3:30 a.m.!). The participating bars are 9 Million, Red Door, Dubliner, Red Star, Norms, and LTD. Bounce between bars throughout the night to get the full freaky experience.

The theme of the night is movies. Each bar’s staff will be dressed as movie characters, and patrons dressed in theme will get $5 Sailor Jerry drinks at each bar. Hop from place to place at your own pace, but be sure to be inside at midnight, when each bar has its own costume contest! Two $50 prizes will be awarded at each bar for best costume and best themed costume (group or individual). Winners from each contest will receive a golden ticket, then congregate at Red Door at 1:00 a.m. for the final competition. The top prize, $500 in gift cards, will be awarded to the best overall costume!

After the contests, dance the night away at Ballroom where our DJs will be spinning late into the night. Do the monster mash with all your costume-clad friends and enjoy drinks/snacks from our late night happy hour menu. Have a Freaky Friday this Halloween in Fremont!

Fremont flourishes in the summer, and there’s no time livelier than the Fremont Fair. The neighborhood comes alive during its biggest event of the year with an abundance of food, art, entertainment, and free-spirited locals bearing all on their bicycles.

Join us at Ballroom during the festivities for some happy hour drinks to quench your thirst or a giant pizza to refuel. We’ll be open at 11 a.m. on Saturday for the parade, so come early for prime patio seating. DJs start spinning right after the parade and go all night until 4 a.m.

The fair, a benefit for the Fremont Chamber of Commerce, is in its 43rd year this June. It is a celebration of the neighborhood’s peculiar, quirky, creative culture. Each year the Fremont Fair includes the three traditions of the Solstice Fair, Solstice Parade, and Solstice Concert Series. Summer solstice is the astronomical event when the sun reaches its highest point and therefore the longest day of the year.

The main event of the weekend is the Solstice Parade, staring at 3 p.m. on Saturday. A chain of floats, marching bands, painted people, bicycles and street performers flood Fremont’s main drag starting at 33rd and Leary Way and ending at Gasworks Park. Snag a spot early and expect to see some wacky stuff along the way.

Other events during the weekend will include the Seattle Art Car Blowout, Sunday Dog Parade, Yoga for the Solstice, Fremont Abbey Kids’ Activities, and more. The Fremont Fair Craft Market will feature over 300 artisans for Seattle’s largest outdoor market this summer.

An awesome lineup of local music will be bumpin’ from the Waterfront and Red Hook stages all weekend. And, of course, a plethora of food and drinks will be available throughout the area. On Friday and Saturday evenings, we have big, brand new concerts in the ‘hood – Built to Spill and Blue Scholars! Come on by to join in on the excitement!

Join us at Ballroom during the Fremont Fair, the neighborhood’s most spectacular summer event!

Click here for more information about the fair, and don’t forget to stop by Ballroom during the festivities!
